Remedy For Stomach Flu

Getting a stomach flu remedy is a bit complicated.However there are some remedy for for getting rid of the stomach flu.

Fasting
Sometimes if my body doesn’t want anything to do with food I will just fast on water and freshly squeezed juices. If you can hold your juices down drink as much as you want, find out what juices agree with you the most.

Tea
Peppermint, chamomile and ginger will all soothe your stomach, I especially like chamomile. Be careful with the ginger, you only need a very small dose for it to be strong.

Yoghurt
Get natural yoghurt that contains beneficial bacteria (acidophilus for example) that help your stomach get back on track.

Probiotics
This is a more potent way to get beneficial bacteria into your system. Usually available at your local health store.

Blueberries
Berries are known for their health benefits and high fiber content. Blueberries contain powerful antioxidants such as anthocyanins and ellagic acid. They also help you retain water and prevent diarrhea.

The BRAT Diet
Usually used by parents when their kids have diarrhea. It consists of eating only Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. Start by eating a little bit of banana, if your stomach can handle that, move on to rice, then to applesauce and finally to toast.

Coca Cola
Coke is so acidic that it is said to kill bacteria in your stomach, you might want to try drinking a coke and see how that feels in your stomach. It has helped me a few times, although I try to avoid sodas when I can!

Baking Soda
I have never tried this myself but people say that about 5 ounces of water mixed with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda helps calm your stomach.
